Research Programs

Center for Southwest Research  The Center for Southwest Research is the University of New Mexico Libraries' special collections department including the Rocky Mountain Online Archive (RMOA) and UNM's resource center for the comparative and interdisciplinary study of New Mexico and the Southwest.

Chicano/Hispano/Latino Library Program  CHIPOTLE serves the information, collections, and knowledge discovery needs of UNM programs, students, faculty, and the community-at-large.

Latin American and Iberian Resources  DILARES collections serve as one of the major repositories of Latin American resources in the United States.

Indigenous Nations Library Program  INLP serves the information needs of UNM-based American Indian communities and programs as well as outreach to New Mexico tribes.

Collections

Digital Collections  Digital Collections from the University of New Mexico and from other New Mexico cultural heritage institutions. These collections contain documents, photographs, maps, posters, art and music.

DSpaceUNM (Institutional Repository)  DSpaceUNM is the University of New Mexico's digital archive of scholarly information produced by the University community.

Government Information  The University of New Mexico University Libraries have been a depository for federal documents since Territorial days, and has been a Regional Depository since 1968. As a Regional depository, the library receives everything available on deposit from the Government Printing Office and retains it permanently. The Collection in the Government Information numbers nearly 400,000 documents in paper format and over 1 million sheets of microfiche.

Map and Geographic Info Center (MAGIC)  The University Libraries maproom, MAGIC collections include:  government and privately issued cartographic materials covering the world in both paper and digital formats; aerial photography; Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps for New Mexico.

Rocky Mountain Online Archive  RMOA provides detailed descriptions of primary source materials located at twenty different repositories including the UNM Center for Southwest Research..
