SciFinder© Scholar™ (the on-line version of Chemical Abstracts)

    SciFinder© Scholar™ provides a user-friendly graphical interface to theCAS databases (Chemical Abstracts bibliographic database, the CAS Registry File, and CAS Reacts) --the world's largest and most current source of chemical information. There are more than 19 million substance records and nearly 14 million journal articles, patents and other documents.

    UNM Main Campus licenses two 24-hour seats; in addition, the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center licenses one 24-hour seat.

    Access is available from any Main Campus IP address, but you will need to install SciFinder© Scholar™ software before accessing the database. Main Campus patrons please e-mail Bruce Neville or Brian Freels-Stendel, or call the Reference Desk at 277-4412 for information. North Campus patrons must use SciFinder© Scholar™ on-site at the HSLIC.
