
Driving and Parking
From I-25, take the Central Avenue, Martin Luther King Blvd. or Lomas Boulevard exits east to the University. It is less than 1 mile to University Avenue, the western edge of the campus.

Visitor Parking On Campus
- Visitor parking at the Cornell Parking Structure near Central Ave. & Stanford Dr., $1.70/hour.
- Metered parking (difficult to come by, immediately behind Zimmerman Library), $1.70/hour. These are free on weekends, and after 8pm weekdays.
- Temporary permits, available at Parking & Transportation Services (SW corner of Central & University Avenues), $7.25/day or $21.75/week.
Visitor Parking Near Campus
- Private Pay Parking Lots. A small number of inexpensive private lots are along Yale Ave., 1-2 blocks south of Central Ave. There is also a private pay lot on University Ave., between Central and Martin Luther King Blvd.
- Parking meters. Central Ave. and several side streets near Central have a limited number of parking meters.
- No parking in the residential areas surrounding UNM. Curbside parking is restricted to resident permits only, weekdays until 6pm.
On Campus Shuttle
Visitors traveling between main and north campus may use the Redondo shuttle bus that circles main campus and goes north to the UNM Law School and the Health Sciences Center. (Map)
