Public Transportation & Biking
Bus Service
ABQ RIDE has information and schedules of the many city bus routes intersecting the UNM campus, including #50 Airport/Downtown, #66 Central Avenue, #11 Lomas Blvd, #16/18 Broadway/University/Gibson, and #92 Taylor Ranch Express.
Rapid Ride (express bus routes)
- The Red Line, running along Central Avenue, connecting southwest Albuquerque, Old Town, downtown, UNM, and the Uptown shopping district.
- The Blue Line, connecting the west side of Albuquerque to Old Town, downtown, and UNM.
New Mexico Rail Runner Express
The Rail Runner provides commuter train service from Belen to Bernalillo NM with a stop in downtown Albuquerque at the Alvarado Transportation Center. Catch the free UNM shuttle, the Central Avenue bus or the Rapid Ride Red Line bus to UNM.
Note: The Rail Runner is scheduled to extend service to Santa Fe at the end of 2008.
