The Department of Energy's Reading Room [established by The Freedom of
Information Act, 5 U.S.C.552, and U.S. Department of Energy
Regulation, 10 CRF 1004] is located in Government Information at the
University of New Mexico Zimmerman Library,
Albuquerque, NM, 87131-1466, telephone 505/277-5761. The
collection is accessible during the unit's hours of
operation.
Reference staff are available to provide the public with information on
DOE and its Programs. The Government
Information unit is a Regional Depository, part of the Federal
Depository Library Program administered by the U.S. Government Printing
Office, Library Program Service. As a Regional Depository we have
extensive Federal information resources available to the public.
Telephone, mail,
and e-mail requests are
welcome. There is an online index available in the Reading Room (as well
as indices posted here
for search with your
browser searchware.) The copy charge is 10 cents
per page. Reading room documents are paged from the Government Information
Reference Desk and may not be removed from the library.
The collection is composed largely of regional DOE documents such as
reports, testimonies, and previously requested FOIA documents. Items
included are:

- Final Occurrence Reports
- Sandia National Laboratories reports
- Sandia National Labs SWEIS
