Congressional Universe offers access to a variety of information by and about the United States Congress. With Congressional Universe, you can:

• Search indexes of congressional publications from 1789 to the present
• Retrieve CIS Legislative Histories for public laws going back to 1970
• Find testimony from congressional hearings
• Track bills as they move through the House and Senate
• Search the Congressional Record
• Locate information about members and committees
• Full text of U.S. Congressional Serial Set and American State Papers (1789-1969: database to be completed by Dec. 2005)

CIS Congressional Universe subscription service is available for the University of New Mexico Main Campus users. Remote access for UNM affiliated users to Congressional Universe from an off-campus or non-UNM dialup connection (such as AOL, Flasnet, etc.) is available with a valid UNM NetID/user account.
