University Libraries Instruction Policy

The mission of University Libraries Instruction Services is to foster information literacy as an integral part of the University's commitment to support and benefit the education and research programs of the diverse UNM community.

University Libraries offers classes, tours, and individual research consultations on research strategies and effective use of library and Web resources. In keeping with our mission, we give priority to members of the UNM community. Library instruction services will be provided to non-UNM groups as time and resources permit. There is a fee for instruction to colleges and universities not affiliated with UNM.

Course-related instruction and tours are available upon request. Please contact an instruction librarian or fill out the University Libraries Instruction Request Form below.

Please keep the following in mind when making your request:

• Library sessions will be taught during your regularly-scheduled class time.
• Faculty attendance is required, unless a prior arrangement is made with the library instructor.
• We prefer two weeks’ notice; with less time we may not be able to accommodate your request.
