Services and Assistance > Accessing Electronic Resources from Remote Locations

All of the electronic resources subscribed to by the UNM University Libraries are listed on the Research Databases and Indexes page.

Due to licensing agreements, remote access is available only to current UNM students, faculty, or staff members from the Albuquerque UNM campus with a valid UNM or HSC NetID (UNM or HSC user account).

For additional assistance with library databases, use the Ask A Librarian service. If you choose to send an email, please include your name, telephone number, Internet service provider (e.g. AOL, FlashNet, SWCP), web browser(s) used (Netscape, IE, AOL), the service trying to use (e.g. EBSCOhost), and the web page you were accessing the service from (you may use your browser's COPY and PASTE to enter the URL).

UNM Network Connection
Access to electronic resources requires a UNM network connection or an authentication process to be completed. A UNM network connection means your computer is attached directly to a UNM on-campus network connection or your computer accesses the network via a UNM dialup line.

Authentication from a Non-UNM Network Connection (AOL, Route 66, FlashNet, etc.)
A non-UNM network connection is a connection provided by an independent Internet service provider such as AOL, Route66, Flashnet, etc. Accessing electronic resources from a non-UNM network connection, requires the authentication of your UNM or HSC NetID. Click on the title of the electronic resource. You will then be prompted to enter your UNM or HSC NetID and password.

Access to Additional Licensed Databases
The New Mexico State Library and the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System have also made library databases available to the New Mexico community.
