Services and Assistance > UNM NetID Account Information

UNM NetIDs, formerly called CIRT computer accounts, are available to UNM students, faculty and staff at no charge. To access most library databases and journals (from a non-UNM computer network connection via the Remote links) you do not need to log onto your UNM NetID but you will need to specify the account and password when prompted. Also, due to our current licensing agreements to use the Remote service you must be a UNM student, faculty or staff from the main Albuquerque campus.

Direct questions or comments about UNM NetIDs to clrk@unm.edu or call (505)277-8130 or (505)277-8131. For additional assistance in accessing electronic resources from remote locations, contact libinfo@unm.edu.

Verify your UNM NetID account name
Check the online directory. The directory will display account info for people who opt to show their information in the online directory (meaning the privacy flag is not set.)

Create a new UNM UNIX Account
Use this to create an account when you do not have one.

Reset your UNM NetID password
NOTE: UNM ITS requires that the NetID password be changed at least every 6 months (see Password FAQ.)
