Journal articles and books from both UNM and non-UNM collections
Library Express is the next step in the evolution of Interlibrary Loan, which adds Document Delivery from the UNM collection. No need to spend hours hunting for books and articles in our stacks and various branches – simply fill out the form and we will find it for you. This service is available to all enrolled UNM students, faculty and staff.
Log on to ILLiad (the existing Interlibrary Loan system) and fill out the request form for a book or article. Please give a complete and accurate citation. Provide an ISSN, ISBN, or OCLC number whenever possible.
When you have completed the form, click on the ‘Submit Request” button. A transaction number is then assigned. Please fill out a separate request form for each item that you need. Please do not submit several items on one form, as these will be returned unfilled.
Requests from UNM collections are usually filled within 3 business days. Items from outside collections will usually take longer. We will notify you by email when the item is available. Articles are scanned and made available electronically through your ILLiad account, which may be accessed from any computer with internet access, a browser, and Adobe Acrobat reader. ILL books will be available for pickup at the Zimmerman Circulation Desk. Library Express books are available for pickup at their corresponding branch circulation desk.
To better enable us to provide this free and timely service to all our patrons, please be as judicious as possible in submitting requests, and limit yourself to no more than 10 active requests at a time. Library Express includes:
