Willard Room and West Wing Use Request

The Willard room and the West Wing are primarily student study spaces, and designated as quiet study area.  They are generally not available for special events. Events will be scheduled in the Willard Reading Room or West Wing by the Dean’s office ensuring that these areas are minimally disrupted.

The University Libraries does not have an event or catering staff and therefore it is the responsibility of the department reserving the space to manage all details for their event.

The Willard room is not a group study room and cannot be reserved for group study use.  (Group study rooms can be reserved through our “Reserve a Room” webpage.)

• Event requests from non-University groups or individuals will not be approved.

• Event requests from UNM entities will be considered on a case by case basis.   

• Requests for events during UNM finals weeks will only be approved on very rare occasions.

Requests for events scheduled outside of normal library hours will not be approved.

Please email the details of your event (time, date, number of attendees, purpose, catering, contact information, etc.) to libadmin@unm.edu.
