Books
LIBROS is the online library
catalog of the University Libraries. It provides access to books, journals,
maps, microforms, sound recordings, videos, and similar items owned by the
UNM Libraries and other New Mexico member institutions. Materials that are
not located in the Library Catalog (LIBROS) can be
requested through InterLibrary
Loan. To search for books by subject
using LIBROS, choose Subject, and use terms from the Library of Congress Subject Headings such as the

- Encyclopedia of Law and Economics
- A
broad-based collection of resources pertaining to economic and legal issues throughout the world and

- Euro Homepage
- Links to information and resources on European monetary policy and the European Monetary Union
(EMU). Sections, including basic readings, emerging policy issues, a
regularly updated daily chronology of events (1998-present), fiscal and monetary policy issues, etc.

- This web site
includes home pages for over five hundred economists from the 17th Century until the modern day,

- This portal links to information from the Federal Reserve System, government agencies, and international economic datasources. Included is the International Economic Statistics database which is a union catalog for international economic data with individual records for each broad category of economic indicators (GDP, CPI, employment, etc.) from every country with English language information available.

source of data regarding toxic chemicals that are being used, manufactured, treated, transported, or

- Nonprofit, nonpartisan
thinktank that conducts independent research primarliy rooted in economics and other social sciences
on environmental and natural resource issues.
- Consumer Price Indexes

charts. CPI History from 1913
forward is also available." The UNM Bureau of Business & Economic Research (BBER) generates a ten year
table of monthly CPI data from the data
available at this site. If you need an inflation calculator, try Morgan'ssite. The New Mexico Department of Labor provides
a monthly CPI table from 1981 to the present.

spending, debt and deficits, election costs, minimum wages, congressional pay, and various other

Data
- Federal Reserve Board site has a wealth of data and statistics, e.g. interest rates, daily
bank prime rate back to 1955, etc.
- U.S. Census Bureau
- An excellent source for demographic
and economic information, including current economic
indicators and population statistics.
- U.S Dept. of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics
- Provides
current national labor data and statistics. An important feature is the section on regional
statistics. United States Economy at a Glance All in
one chart, the past 6 months official data on unemployment, hourly earnings, CPI, PPI, import prices,
employment costs, productivity. Also, quick comparison charts for industries, regions, and individual
states. Statistics on the employment status of the population and related data are compiled by BLS
using data from the Current Population Survey
(CPS).

Economic Statistics:1998--CIA
- With figures and tables, the Handbook "provides basic worldwide

- Instituto Nacional de Estadística
Geografía e Informática (INEGI)
- INEGI is Mexico's official statistical agency. This
site provides basic statistical and geographic information on the economic and social sectors of
Mexico.
- International Economic Statistics
- A union catalog for international economic data with individual records for each broad category of economic indicators (GDP, CPI, employment, etc.) from every country with English language information available.
- Population Reference Bureau (PRB)
- The PRB provides
information and statistics about population, health, and the environment. It analyzes complex
demographic data and research concerning migration, urbanization, aging, poverty, gender, etc. so that
it is easier to understand and use.
- Statistics Norway
- This site has links to all the
official governmental statistics sites on the Web, and it even tells you what language they use.
- UN Global Statistics
- Developed by the
United Nations Statistics Division, this site has links to UN-gathered international stats, other
inter-governmental organizations' stats, and to national statistical offices of countries.
- World Bank (International Bank for Reconstruction and
Development)
- Its Jolis Library Catalog includes the publicly
available library resources of the network of 14 World Bank and IMF libraries.

- National Bureau of Economic Research
- Find full text of all

- Founded in 1885,
this key economics association and publisher of economics journals has 27,000 members. AEA encourages
historical and statistical research into the economic conditions that affect daily life. News and

- American Institute for Economic Research (AIER)
- Independent non-profit research and educational organization provides publications and advice on
economic subjects. See cost-of-living calculator, business cycle updates, and job openings.
- Brookings Institution: Economic Studies
- Involved in nonpartisan research, education, and publication in the fields of economics, its papers
are available in full text here, as are unannotated links to over 100 Internet resources in 12

- Institute for International Economics (IIE)
- Provides
nonpartisan analysis and solutions for international economic problems from a macroeconomic point of

- National Association for Business Economics (NABE)
- The
