LIBROS is the online library
catalog of the University Libraries. It provides access to books, journals,
maps, microforms, sound recordings, videos, and similar items owned by the
UNM Libraries and other New Mexico member institutions. Materials that are
not located in the Library Catalog (LIBROS) can be
requested through InterLibrary
Loan.

- Web Resources for International Trade This is an extremely comprehensive, searchable database of more than 4000 links to international trade and import/export web sites, all of which are indexed and annotated.

- Harvard on Globalization
- Reviews of Web sites that have to do with globalization and/or international trade. These sites have been selected with care, and each has a review that describes what you'll find -- everything from articles about monetary policy, to trade leads, to tips about international time zones, voltage, and telephones.
- International Trade Benefits from Exports - State Reports -- US Small Business Administration [.pdf]
- This series of .pdf files profiling export trade benefits for each American state is posted online by the US Small Business Administration. Each state's report contains a summary of export activity; the status of export-related jobs; information on foreign competition; and a breakdown of exports by type, the global distribution of the state's exports, percentage of exports by year.
- International Trade Centre (ITC)
- This site is designed to assist developing countries to increase the effectiveness of their trade promotion programs but there is material of interest to other researchers. It also provides access to trade information, lists of trade contacts, associations, and statistics found on the ITC database (including The Standard International Trade Classification Revision 3 (SITC Rev.3) codes list) and on the Internet. Adobe Acrobat reader is required for some parts of the site (e.g., National Trade Performances by country).
- International Trade Theory and Policy Analysis by Steven M. Sturanovic.
- This link connects to an online international trade theory and policy text, as part of the International Economics Study Center . It is designed for students and professionals at all levels. It will be especially useful for college students taking an intermediate level international trade course.
- LATCO tools of the Trade
- Compiled by the Latin American Trade Council of Oregon, this site is one of the most complete and up-to-date sites for links to Latin American trade resources.
- Liber8
- This portal links to economic information from the Federal
Reserve System, government agencies, and international economic data
sources and is designed for university, college and high school students and faculty. Included is the International Economic Statistics database which is a union catalog for international economic data with individual records for each broad category of economic indicators (GDP, CPI, employment, etc.) from every country with English language information available.
- MyExports
- Created through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce, MyExports gives US exporters a simple way to establish contacts and conduct global business. This contains the U.S. Exporter's Yellow Pages, a calendar of trade events, a basic guide to exporting, an export assistance center, market research, information about export financing, and much more.
- National Trade Databank (NTDB)
- NTDB is the U.S. Government's most comprehensive source of international trade data and export promotion information. This includes international market research reports, export opportunities, demographic and socio-economic reports for hundreds of countries, and much more.
- Trade Show Central
- Trade Show Central is a free Internet service providing information on more than 30,000 Trade Shows, Conferences & Seminars, 5,000 service providers, and 5,000 venues and facilities around the world.
- TradeStats Express
- TradeStats Express displays the latest annual U.S. merchandise trade statistics - At national and state levels; in maps, graphs, and tables; as exports, imports, and trade balances and custom-tailored to your year and dollar ranges and display preferences.
- U.S. Department of State Key Officers of Foreign Service Posts
- Find U.S. Foreign Service officials listed by country on this easy-to-use U.S. Department of State site.
- UN Commodity Trade Statistics Database (UN Comtrade)
- Every year over 130 countries provide the United Nations Statistics Division with their annual international trade statistics, detailed by commodity and partner country. These data are processed into a standard format with consistent coding and valuation. All values are converted into US dollars using exchange rates supplied by the countries, or derived from monthly market rates and volume of trade. Quantities are, if provided by the country and if possible, converted into metric units. The data are then stored in a computerized data base system, called UN COMTRADE. For many countries the data coverage starts as far back as 1962 and goes up to the most recent completed year.
- World Trade Organization (WTO)
- The WTO is the legal and institutional foundation of the multilateral trading system. It was established in January 1995 as the successor the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and comprises 132 member countries.
- Researching WTO and Gatt
- This guide, which is focused on sources from the United States, gives assistance for doing research on the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the preceding system under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).
- Country Profiles
- This site has extensive links to current news, maps, statistics, CIA and IMF country profiles, industrial and trade profiles, and human rights records. At present, there are Country Profiles on nations in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
- Doing Business (from the World Bank)
- Visitors can download annual reports, view country specific reports (such as “Doing Business in Brazil”), and also take advantage of 155 printable country data profiles.
- Embassy World
- Search by host or guest country using drop-down menus or scroll through a list of embassies and consulates of the world, embassies of other nations in the United States, U.S. embassies worldwide, and United Nations permanent missions. Provides contact information and links to Web pages, when available. Easy to use and straightforward.

- Official Statistics on the Web
- This easy-to-use and free site of statistics from official sources with current and time series data is downloadable as text or spreadsheet files. Covers most countries and regions of the world with topics like armaments, crime, economic growth, education, oil, population, social indicators, and tariffs. Statistic sources include UN, OECD, UNICEF, Interpol, the World Bank, and many more.
