Schomburg Collection - Series II and guide of Series I
International works on Black history from the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library. Series I contains journals and works of some well known authors. It is classified separately by title. (See guide.) Series II spans 1534-1955 with the vast majority of imprints from the 18th and 19th centuries. The authors represent a cross-section of races, nationalities and ideas.
