Books
LIBROS is the online library
catalog of the University Libraries. It provides access to books, journals,
maps, microforms, sound recordings, videos, and similar items owned by the
UNM Libraries and other New Mexico member institutions. Materials that are
not located in the Library Catalog (LIBROS) can be
requested through InterLibrary
Loan.
To search for books by subject using LIBROS, choose Subject, and use terms from the Library of Congress Subject Headings such as the following:

- New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network
- With locations throughout New Mexico, the SBDC offices can offer many resources on small business. The "Starting Out- a Guide to Creating Your Own New Mexico Business" pdf provides a wealth of good information for new entrepreneurs.
- Small Business Administration
- Online library, links to a multitude of federal, state, and local government websites and programs, government opporunities, financing, shareware. Also included is a Small Business Start Up Kit.
- State Small Business Profiles--SBA
- Profiles small businesses in all states beginning in 1995 and small businesses in the entire US beginning in 1997. The profiles are snapshot views that include such topics as the number of businesses, income, minority businesses, turnover, finance, job growth, and industries.
- American Bankruptcy Institute
- Comprehensive source of current and historical statistics on bankruptcy filings, including annual U.S. filings, filings by chapter, state, and judicial district, business and non-business bankruptcy.
- Business Law
- This resource guide is designed to provide legal and regulatory information to America's small businesses and provides a number of clear, simple "plain English" guides about the business law involved with starting up and running a small business.
- Franchising Law
- If you're thinking of franchising your business or business idea, here's information on the process. Also links to FTC site which provides information on franchises that you need before you invest in one.

- EcoBusinessLinks The Environmental Directory covers all areas of information needed for a sustainable lifestyle. The TRAVEL section has links to EcoTravel Guides, Eco Adventure, Eco Hotels, Walking Holidays, Eco-Bike Tours, and more.
- Ecotourism Explorer The official site of The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) has a special section for Eco-Professionals and Students with Research, Conservation, and Business tracks of information. The Business section has Statistics, Green Hotels, and regional ecotourism associations. The Research section includes market data, papers, and bibliographies.
- Planeta.com Travel resource center provides links, data, online forums, and conferences on ecotourism. Scholarly information on Ecological and Cultural impacts of tourism and Latin American resources are highlights. Find book reviews, company information, and special reports.

- Non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and educating the small business community and entrepreneurs. Provides legislative updates and cost- and time-saving products and services including insurance, scholarship, software, and discounts.
- National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)
- Largest advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses in Washington D.C. and all 50 state capitals. Over 600,000 members provide pooled purchasing power for business products and services at discounted costs. Large political action committee.
- United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship
- Founded in 1957, organization represents researchers, scholars, teachers, administrators, and public policy makers. Has 8 divisions. Provides management education, newsletter, and global networking opportunities.
