The
University Archives was established in 1985 in conjunction with
planning for the University Centennial celebration in 1989. The
purpose of the archives is to collect, organize, preserve, and
make available materials of permanent value to the University which
have historical, legal, fiscal, or administrative significance.
What We Do
The University Archives serves as an information
resource for all persons interested in the history and development
of the University of New Mexico. Among the source materials available
to researchers are presidential correspondence, faculty minutes and
committee reports, records of the Board of Regents, annual reports,
materials from homecomings and commencements, architectural planning
documents, and campus yearbooks and newspapers.
Finding aids to the University Archives collection are available via the Rocky Mountain Online Archive. Select digitized materials from the University Archives collection are also available in the University Library's Digital Collections. |
