Help for Faculty & Graduate Students
Research & Curriculum Support ConsultationSchedule a consultation with one of our subject librarians. We can familiarize you with our resources and create specialized Research Guides for your classes. We can also help with formulating a data plan and consult with you regarding open access and other publishing options.
Schedule a Library Instruction SessionWe offer classes on research strategies and effective use of library and Web resources. These can be offered during your scheduled class meeting, or you can point students to pre-recorded tutorials.

Put Items on Course ReservesCourse Reserves allow for the short term loan (2 hours, 1 day, or 3 days) of either library-owned or personal copies of materials. We can also provide links to ebooks, articles, and, under certain circumstances, scans of print materials.
- Option 1: Submit the Hard Copy Reserves Request Form.
- Option 2: For faster service, print the form and bring it and the item you wish to place on Reserve to the service desk at the library where you want the item to be available. Paper copies of the form are also available at each library.
- Complete one form for each title you wish to have on Reserve.
- We encourage you to put personal or departmental copies on Reserve. These will be returned at the end of the semester.
Deadlines:We encouraged you to notify us as soon as you decide to put items on Reserve. Requests submitted 3 weeks before the start of classes will be ready on the first day of class. Items submitted after that will be processed in the order they are received.
Scans & Electronic AccessWe can assist in creating permalinks to e-books, articles and other streaming media you can link to from within Learn. If we own a hard copy of the item, and the portion you need is in compliance with fair use, we can scan it for your class to use. Please use this form to request scans or links.
